Google introduces Project Tango, Phone With 3D Map

TEAM COMPANY KNOWN AS GOOGLE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AND PROJECTS ( ATAP ) RECENTLY VIEWED unveiled its project , WHICH WAS CALLED - TANGO PROJECT .
The goals of the project , according to its creators is to " enable mobile devices to have a human understanding of space and movement ."
The first tangible product of this project is a phone with screen diagonal of 5 inches , which owns the personalized hardware and software , which is able to follow the three - dimensional movement of the device , while at the same time recognize the map of the area where phone is located.
Last year , ATAP team was working with universities , scientific laboratories , and industrial partners from nine different countries of the world , to end the 10 -year work in robotics and computer vision , bringing a smart phone and totally unique .
The first prototypes of this phone are now ready to be shared with developers .
Google has said it installed sensors enable measurement of 250 thousand phone 3D movements per second , providing information about the position and orientation in real time .
The phone is based on Android , and includes API that enables the measurement of the depth , position and orientation for applications created in C / C + + , Java , and Unity Game Engine
